What's in a Frame?

Let's demystify the custom framing process.

One of the most common questions we hear is: "What will it cost to frame my piece?" Although this question does not have a straightforward answer, we will always do our best to work within your budget and help you understand the factors in pricing. Many variables affect the final cost of a project, including moulding choice, glazing options, and additional layers or custom requests.

If budget is your main concern, rest assured. You don't need to drop hundreds or thousands of dollars in order to bring home a beautifully framed and preserved piece! We have a wide array of remnants and overstock that run at budget-friendly costs and with the help of our design team we'll find a selection that works for you.

"What am I paying for?"

1

Moulding

The framing choice that will have the biggest impact on the final cost of your project. We have options from mild to wild at a range of pricing!

2

Mats

Some projects do not warrant a mat while others may benefit from a double—or even triple—mat. We stock anything from a simple cotton rag to linen-wrapped mats.

3

Glazing

Glazing plays a key role in protecting certain types of artwork from dust, moisture, temperature change, and physical damage. From acrylic to museum-grade glass, we can point you in the right direction. Not sure if you need glazing? Just ask!

Layers and Customization

There are many ways to bring your vision to life with bevels, fillets, plaques, custom mat cuts, and more! As a design-driven studio, we love working with clients on their ideas.
