Bryce Bennett

BIGFORK, MT

Born to a creative family in northwest Montana, Bryce Bennett’s artistic vision and passionate direction was undoubtedly a product of the natural environment in which he was raised.  Bryce went on to study art out-of-state, and after years under the direction of a staff of immensely talented artists, Bryce graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. Early in his education, Bryce found influence and inspiration from the work of such artists as Stephen Shore, Robert Adams, Edward Burtynsky and Todd Hido, helping to shape his direction and intentions as an artist.

By working with more traditional methods within his medium, Bryce tends to focus a large amount of time on process and sequence; methodically moving through the creation of each body of work from conceptualization to displayed imagery. Although much of his work is void of human imagery, humanity is at the core of each of his series. Through his art he explores the vulnerability of our existence and the impact it imprints on the natural world in which we live.
